This bed was just what I was looking for. Our German Shepherd’s “crate” is our laundry room when we leave the house. I was looking for a comfy bed for him to lay on but also not have to worry about the bed being pushed up against the door and causing a problem. This was perfect! Our door is about 2.5 inches off the ground and this slides over perfectly. With that being said, I believe it is a bit thicker than 2 inches as advertised, but perfect for us. If you have a bed chewer, it does not seem like it would hold up well. This photo was taken right after I removed it from the packaging and tapped it for our dog to know it is his. I have not washed the cover yet, but plan to update this review after I do.

I ordered a dog crate that is so big I need to rearrange my furniture to get it into a permanent home. I haven't done that yet, but when we did a test setup we noted that it had a wire bottom that might not be great for a pup's feet. When I was offered this mat for the crate, I snapped it up, but I have not yet used it in the crate since it is not in its final resting place yet. Instead, I put it on the foot of my bed so my pup understand where she's supposed to lay when she gets in-- she sure likes to throw her weight around and take up my entire side of the bed snuggling with us. Normally she's not even allowed in our room, but she just got spayed and we're trying to keep an eye on her. This seems comfy enough; it's not super thick but she's been sleeping well on it and it's decent quality. We haven't washed it yet and I didn't even realize it had a zipper, but she's not an inside pee-er or anything like that so I don't expect we'll have to wash it often. Once we get the crate set up I'll update if there's any issues, but so far she's sleeping soundly on this.

The mint leaf color is beautiful and would probably compliment any home decor/color scheme if you are someone like me that cares and appreciate things coordinating.
It's his new favorite spot so he has spent quite a bit of a time on in since it arrived a week ago. The foam has been supportive and has maintained its shape, so far. I like that it has a removable cover so I can clean it and put it back on. I'm going to order another one and put it in his crate. Brucie Bear loves it so I do too.
